The glove loop slides onto the spike just like the Shark attachment, but rather than a hinged latch holding it in place the compressible foam of the handle holds the pole in place. The glove loop slides out easily when you push on the top of the pole with your thumb or pull the pole away with your other hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs an added bonus, the spike gives you an excellent guy line notch for using your poles for tarp supports\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Ice-Shark is 3D printed from Carbon Fiber reinforced polyamide and weighs 6g for the pair.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo install:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli\u003epush out the plastic pin holding in the pole strap from the narrower head side being careful not to lose the pin (a Ti shepherd hook tent stake works well for this)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003epull out a the strap,\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003einsert the square section of the Ice-Shark into the empty slot, spike pointing upwards\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003ereinsert the plastic pin, until it clicks into place (a hard surface like the back of a spoon can he helpful for this)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ol\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSold in pairs.
